Important RTM Code Updates for January 2026

Welcome to 2026! Below is an overview of how Wibbi is representing the CMS changes and additions to the RTM CPT codes. 

The initial set-up code, 98975, will now be made available 2 two days after the first patient login.

You will find the new device supply code, 98985, alongside 98977, and the new management code, 98979 alongside 98980/81. 

Please refer to this article "RTM Updates 2026: New CPT Codes for Physical Therapy Clinics" for further explanation of the 2026 RTM changes. 

The dashboard will alert you when requirements are met, and the exported billing report will provide the correct code to bill at the appropriate time.

The "Bill" button will continue to provide the necessary documentation for defending the corresponding codes, and is now available prior to the end of the required period.

One IMPORTANT CHANGE to take note of is the option to declare your setting preference for the data supply code 98977/9895.  Go to Administration > RTM Administration to find the options. 

For Option 1 - If you would like to include days of non-compliance, which are the red dots, as days of data in those 30 day windows - Toggle ON this option. With this option you will always be billing 98977 unless a patient is discharged early. 

For Option 2 - If you would like to only include days when the patient logs in and provides the data points seen as green dots - Toggle ON this option. With this option you will be prompted to bill 98985 for 2 to 15 days of data within a 30-day period and for 16+ days of data you will continue to be prompted to bill 98977.
